End of Semester

Another semester completed and I could not be more relieved. The seemingly endless routine of taking classed has caught up with me. I am in my third year of the back-to-school journey and for the first time I could have thrown in the towel during the semester and been ok with it, but then I came to my senses and reminded myself of how that went the last time. I do not need another 20-year lapse in getting this completed. Making the time to refocus saved me from making a truly catastrophic mistake. The classes were not hard or rigorous by any means, but the fatigue settled in just a bit to bring up the thought of calling it quits. Even if that moment lasted a brief second, it was enough to scare me straight into giving my self an intervention of sorts to get back on task. Fully rehabilitated I have scheduled myself a little breaky for the next three months before summer classes, which there are two from the Management subject. They are four week mini-mesters so my reentry to school will be busy for sure.

Boring boring boring let’s move on to the real exciting stuff that will be taking place over the break. Big vacation news is that Pubba and I will be taking a fantastic trip to the UK. Specifically, Scotland, although we will have a day in London to see what we can of the new King Charles III Commonwealth Capital. So, since we have no academic progress to detail, we will have a series of preparation posts and travel blog entries that I am sure will be much better than anything written so far here. This is a big step for Pubba and I, and while I hope it will go perfectly, I am sure we will hit bumps in the road. We cannot prepare for everything and, of course, several things are out of our control. I find the planning for such a trip is just as exciting and the journey itself. It certainly has been for me thus far. Who doesn’t like filling up an Amazon wish list with items you will most likely use once and hitting the buy button. It’s a great pastime of this generation. My biggest fear is the flight though. A nine-and-a-half-hour direct traverse over open ocean is a lot for to take on for a person that sticks to domestic flights. Not so much the ocean part that has me worried, but the 570 minutes of free time on an aircraft.
